This EP was recorded Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at East Hall Recording in Fayetteville, AR.
All instruments and voices were recorded in the isolation booth, into one microphone, and the songs were then mixed to mono.
lyrics
Wish I Had You Now
From Houston out to Vegas
I heard you cried the whole damn way
Neon lights and sin led you astray
Broken hearts and banks
Ice cubes melting in your glass
But I remain still frozen to your past
I said I’d be here when the morning comes
My bleeding heart’s been drained and left me numb
Though I know that you won’t come for me
Though I wish I had you now…wish I had you now
So I went back to Richmond
Seeking shelter from the dust
Leave the chains I wore in Texas there to rust
Panes of broken windows
Pointing west through the red clay
But my reflection keeps me facing the other way
I guess I’ll be here when the morning comes
My bleeding heart’s turned gray and left me numb
Though I know that you won’t comfort me
But I wish I had you now…wish I had you now
Wish I had you now

An album that gets better with every listen. It was already in my top 10 of the year, but it just keeps pushing higher. Lydia Loveless is so damn underrated. William Boyle
